We provide professional stone cleaning and assess whether the surface needs restoration through honing or polishing. Each process serves a different purpose:

Cleaning removes soil and buildup to restore the stone’s overall appearance. It does not remove etching or scratches.

Honing uses abrasion from honing powders, diamond-impregnated pads or resin pads to remove a thin layer of the stone’s surface, creating a matte finish.

Polishing uses polishing powders and products with polishing pads to develop the desired sheen, from a low or satin sheen to a high gloss.

Honing and polishing can also remove etching and scratches. We assess the stone’s condition and your preferred finish to determine the appropriate approach.

It could be either. An acidic drink can etch the marble’s surface, while liquid that absorbs into the stone can cause staining. Either can affect the stone’s appearance and may leave a cloudy-looking area.

We assess the mark to determine whether it is etching or staining before recommending the appropriate treatment.

A standard penetrating sealer helps repel liquids and reduce staining, but it does not prevent acid from etching the stone’s surface.

MORE AntiEtch is a specialized coating that provides permanent protection against etching and staining on eligible marble, travertine and limestone surfaces. When applied by a MORE Certified Applicator and registered, it is backed by the manufacturer’s lifetime limited warranty, subject to its terms.

Yes. We clean travertine and all other types of natural stone. We also assess the stone for further restoration when its condition calls for it or when you request it.

No. Marble is commonly polished, but polishing is an aesthetic choice. The right finish depends on the look you want for your home.

Stone care pricing can vary significantly based on the type of stone, whether it is a floor or countertop, your desired finish, and the extent of any damage, scratches or etching.

We assess sealing requirements for each stone individually. When sealing is appropriate, it is priced separately.

All appointments require a $250 job minimum.

We recommend MB-5 Stone & More Multi Surface Spray Cleaner for everyday cleaning of stone surfaces. It is pH-neutral and designed for routine maintenance. Mist the surface lightly, wait about 30 seconds, then buff it dry with a clean white cloth. Switch to a fresh cloth when it becomes wet.

For stone floors, use a flat mop with a suitable neutral-pH floor cleaner, following its label instructions. Avoid excessive water or solution, and don’t leave residue behind that can build up and attract dirt.

Yes. We restore both natural stone floors and countertops. We assess the type of stone, its condition and your desired finish to determine the appropriate restoration process.

No. Engineered quartz contains resin binders and is finished at the factory. Traditional natural-stone honing and polishing methods can damage the resin and alter or ruin that finish. Engineered quartz generally does not require sealing.

We focus on cleaning and appropriate treatments for hard-water deposits and stains. Minor repairs may be appropriate in some cases and should be assessed separately.

No. Some stone floors do not need sealing, while others need a sealer suited to that particular stone. We assess each surface individually to determine whether sealing is appropriate and which product to use. When recommended, sealing is priced separately.

We typically recommend staying off sealed tile or stone for about 30–60 minutes after cleaning and sealing. The floor will continue to dry over the next 24 hours.

We use a clear, fast-drying, solvent-based sealer that preserves the existing appearance of your tile, grout or stone. It does not add a glossy or matte finish.

We recommend professional cleaning for tile, stone and hardwood floors about every 2–3 years, provided they are properly maintained between visits.
