Yes. You can walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning. We’ll provide protective booties, or you can go barefoot or wear white socks.

We move light items such as coffee tables, dining chairs and end tables. We use furniture sliders to help protect your belongings, then place plastic tabs or foam blocks beneath the furniture to prevent stains from transferring to your carpet.

We don’t move glass, electronics, collectibles, artwork, delicate display cases or other fragile or high-value items. Heavy furniture and equipment, including beds, dressers, bookcases, dining tables, exercise equipment and pool tables, are also excluded.

In most cases, we’re able to remove all spots and stains. However, we can’t guarantee removal, as results depend on the type of stain, the age and material of the carpet, and any spot-removal products or methods previously used.

Your technician will explain any spots or stains that could not be removed and document them in your customer account.

We treat spots and stains thoroughly and extract them properly, so they should not return.

However, if moisture remains in the carpet padding and a pad or pet treatment has not been performed, stains and odors can “wick” back to the surface. If this happens, contact us immediately. We may be able to correct it.

We recommend professional carpet cleaning every 6–18 months, depending on how much use your carpet gets. Annual cleaning is a good guideline for most households. For high-traffic homes with children and pets, we recommend cleaning every six months.

Dark traffic lanes that remain after cleaning are typically caused by wear or carpet fibers lying in different directions. This is common in high-traffic areas and pivot points, where people regularly turn or change direction.

Ground-in dirt and soil can scratch the fibers and dull their appearance. Over time, the fibers can also lose their resilience and lie flat, making these areas look darker even after cleaning.

Yes. Professional carpet cleaning involves much more than running a machine over the carpet. Our truck-mounted system combines heated water, thorough extraction and targeted treatments to break down and remove soil.

With a rental machine, applying more water or cleaning product than the machine can recover can soak the padding and leave residue behind. This can lead to rapid resoiling, returning stains and drying times beyond 24 hours. Prolonged dampness can also encourage mold and mildew.

Our process treats the staining and soiling, then thoroughly rinses and extracts the carpet to avoid residue buildup. Typical drying time is 2–8 hours, or 6–12 hours for longer-pile or plush carpet.

Yes. We offer Stainshield, a stain and soil repellent applied to carpet and upholstery fibers. It helps resist staining and makes cleaning easier between professional appointments, helping you care for and extend the life of your carpet.

We especially recommend it for high-traffic areas and homes with children or pets. Think of it like waxing your car: it doesn’t stop the carpet from getting dirty or make it stain-proof, but it helps it clean up more easily and protects your investment.

Cleaning won’t correct existing wrinkles or loose carpet that needs restretching.

Temporary wrinkling can also occur after cleaning, particularly with Berber, low-cut pile and commercial glue-down carpet. Carpet expands and contracts with changes in moisture, so temporary ripples caused by cleaning should relax and lie flat again as the carpet dries.

These dark lines are called filtration lines. They form when moving air deposits fine airborne particles in the carpet along baseboards, beneath doors and around other gaps.

We assess affected areas and use available cleaning methods where appropriate to try to remove or reduce the lines. In our experience, these marks are often permanent, so removal is not guaranteed.

We no longer offer specialized filtration-line removal because the more aggressive process can damage nearby baseboards.

We use counter-rotating brushes and manual agitation where needed to loosen embedded soil and help release stains before extraction. Deep cleaning is included in our standard carpet cleaning service, with no separate deep-cleaning fee.

Proper professional cleaning should not make your carpet get dirty faster. Rapid resoiling can happen when cleaning products are not rinsed and extracted properly, leaving residue that attracts dirt. Overwetting can also cause soil or stains below the surface to wick back as the carpet dries.

Our carpet cleaning process includes the following steps:

1. Protect and prepare. We protect surrounding surfaces, move eligible light furniture and pre-vacuum areas with excessive pet hair or loose debris.
2. Pretreat. We identify specialty stains and treat them as needed, then precondition and deodorize the carpet with fruit- and plant-based products.
3. Agitate. We use counter-rotating brushes or manual agitation where appropriate to loosen embedded soil before extraction.
4. Clean and extract. We use truck-mounted hot water extraction with high heat, working from the furthest point back to avoid walking over cleaned areas. We control pressure and moisture to avoid oversaturating the carpet.
5. Help it dry. We finish with drying passes and place fans where needed.
6. Protect and reset. If you choose Stainshield, we apply it to the cleaned carpet and rake it into the fibers. We return eligible light furniture with plastic tabs or foam blocks underneath.

Carpet cleaning costs depend on the size of the areas, the carpet’s material and condition, the level of soil, and any specialized treatments needed.

Our standard pricing is straightforward:

• Rooms: $90 each, up to 150 square feet.
• Hallways: $45 each, up to 75 square feet.
• Walk-in closets: $25 each, up to 35 square feet.
• Staircases: $105 each, including up to 16 regular steps and two landings.
• Bio Treatments: $65 per area.

Larger rooms may be priced as a room and a half or a double room, depending on their size. We assess pet urine saturation on site to determine the appropriate treatment.

All appointments require a $250 job minimum.

A standard room covers up to 150 square feet. Larger spaces may be priced as a room and a half or a double room, depending on their size. Connected spaces, such as a living and dining room, can count as two rooms based on their combined square footage. We confirm the price before work begins.

There’s no need for extensive preparation. Simply pick up loose belongings, move fragile items to a safe place and secure pets away from the areas being cleaned. You’re welcome to vacuum beforehand, but it isn’t required.

If you’re also scheduling a house-cleaning service, have them come first so we’re the last service in.

A typical cleaning appointment takes about 2–4 hours. Carpet cleaning generally takes 15–20 minutes per room. The total time depends on the amount of work, the materials being cleaned, soil level, stain treatment and any furniture that needs to be moved.

We use corner guards, floor runners, walk-off mats, stair tie-offs, lawn stakes and Teflon glides on our cleaning wands to help protect your walls, floors, stairs and furnishings. Our technicians wear shoe covers and take care of both the interior and exterior of your property.

Topical deodorization and deep cleaning are included in our standard cleaning process.

Excessive pet urine or odor, or contamination that has penetrated the carpet padding or underlying surface, requires a Bio Treatment at an additional $65 per area. Our technicians assess the affected areas on site to identify and address the source of the problem.

In our experience, cat urine is the most difficult pet odor to remove. If contamination is widespread in the padding, replacing the affected padding may be necessary.

Pet urine odor can return when contamination remains in the carpet padding, underlying surface, baseboards or surrounding materials. Cleaning the carpet fibers alone may not eliminate those sources.

We assess affected areas on site to identify the source and determine the treatment needed. Pet urine odor removal cannot be guaranteed because urine can absorb into materials beyond the carpet. In some cases, correcting the issue may require replacing affected padding, treating the underlying surface and applying an odor-blocking paint.

Blot the area with a clean, bleach-free white cotton towel. Do not scrub or add excessive moisture.

For home spot treatment, choose an enzyme-based formula suitable for your carpet that does not contain oxygenated or oxidizing agents. Follow the label for how much to apply, how long to let it work, and any blotting, repeat-treatment or rinsing instructions.

Coffee and red wine stains often require professional treatment, which may include an oxidizing product selected for your carpet and safely applied and rinsed. Home remedies such as club soda or baking soda may help in some situations, but they can also make certain stains harder to remove. We recommend contacting us before trying them.

No. Bleach spots and sun-faded patches are permanent discoloration caused by color loss in the carpet fibers. Cleaning cannot restore the lost dye or bring back the original color.

Never scrub a stain. Scrubbing can distort the carpet fibers or pile, leaving a noticeable change in how the carpet lies even after the stain has been removed. Always blot instead.

If further treatment is needed, use light applications and gently repeat the stain-removal and rinsing process as directed by the product label. Blot between treatments and avoid oversaturating or agitating the carpet.

No. A pet stain can disappear while odor remains from urine that has penetrated the carpet padding, underlying surface or surrounding materials. Heat or pressure can cause contamination to wick back to the surface, bringing back the odor and sometimes the visible stain.

A Bio Treatment addresses pet urine stains and odors that require more than standard cleaning. We assess the affected areas on site and tailor the process to the condition and depth of contamination.

Treatment may include black-light inspection, moisture meters, a water-soluble marker to identify affected areas, an enzyme-based treatment, subsurface extraction, and cleaning and rinsing with an anti-wicking agent. We use some or all of these steps as needed.

Bio Treatments cost an additional $65 per area. Contamination remaining in the padding can cause stains or odors to return. Widespread contamination may require padding replacement, and pet urine odor removal cannot be guaranteed.
