Count the parts of the piece
A two-seat sofa, a large sectional and a sofa with a chaise have different surfaces to clean. Tell us the number of sections and cushions, whether the backs are loose or fixed, and whether ottomans or decorative pillows are included.
Photographs are particularly useful for modular furniture. Include the whole piece rather than only the stain so the team can understand its size and access.
Read the label before choosing a method
Fiber, dyes and the manufacturer’s care code influence cleaning suitability. Some fabrics tolerate an appropriate water-based process; others require a different approach or specialist assessment. A zipper does not mean a cushion cover can be put in the washing machine.

Clear belongings from the furniture and arrange access around it. Drying time depends on fabric, filling, method and room conditions; confirm when the piece can return to use. Do not schedule a gathering on freshly cleaned seating without allowing time to dry.
